This nose gear needs a soft spring/or cushion to absorb more of the impact from these Landings. The current design transmits all that energy to the aircraft chassis. This will eventually compromise the structuralintegrity of the aircraft.
There is an updated design I recently received.

For me, it's easer to swap out the whole unit in the event I bend my landing gear unit and don't have time to repair it in the field. The newer design has the steering arm changed from plastic to metal. It's the part that fits over the retract shaft and has than thin rid to connect to your servo. I've never broke mine, but this new design seems like it will not break. I wish the retract housing was metal because one could ***** a corner where the screw goes through on not so ideal landings. It's a welcome redesign. Have fun flying your A-10!
Looks good. a little tricky to install

I have really no "reps" on the landing gear yet so-- but it looks like it might be ok.. I'm doing everything I can to eliminate extra "work" for the servos (removing foam in the way from moving parts etc)
